RodeoHouston announces it’s Super Star lineup for this year’s Rodeo. There is going to be some really big stars this year. some of country western’s best, such as, Brad Paisley, LadyAntebellum, Blake Shelton, Zac Brown Band, Miranda Lambert, and The Band Perry just to mention a few. According to Click 2 Houston, Ft Bend County Sheriff confirmed that a tornado touched down at FM1093 ans FM723 this morning, which is about 3 miles east from Cross Creek Ranch. They also reported that a funnel could was spotted at the Grand Parkway (Hwy 99) but did not touch down. I woke up to a continuous sound of thunder and lightning. When I turned on the TV to Click 2 Houston they said we were under a tornado watch, not a warning, but a watch. We had some pea sized hail and a lot of wind. April went to drop off the kids at school and daycare. On her way back she got into Cross Creek Ranch, and to Silver Thistle, where the streets were so flooded that she could go no farther. She called me and I had Darrel go pick her up in his truck which sits high off the ground. When they came back they went left on Silver Thistle and it was not so bad. Darrel asked April if she wanted to go back up Barberry Banks and see how bad it was and she said yes. By the time they went back up Barberry Banks the water had gone down considerably. They saw that the rubber covers for the water meters in the yard had floated past the sidewalk and one was even in the flowerbed of one home. Polly and I were discussing the opening of the Interstate 10 and Hwy 99 ramps, and she thought she heard on the news that Hwy 99 would become a toll road. So I looked on grandpkw.com and found out that it is possible that the ramp that leads to Hwy 59, might in the future, become a toll road. This past Saturday was Fulshear’s Cowboy Christmas and Parade of Lights, and if you missed it you missed an old time country Christmas. Darrel and I played Santa and Mrs. Clause. Darrel thought it might be cold and we had out long johns on. He actually was very comfortable, as was I. We rode into the fair grounds in a golf cart escourted by the Fulshear Police with lights and seirens (and we were not even being arrested). The kids were great and so well behaved. If you ever wanted to go back to a simpler time you really need to make plans to be there next year. They had food booths as well as crafts booths. Everyone had a great time.

Cross Creek Ranch’s HOA meeting was very good and very informative. There is so much comming up in the very near furture. Hear is a list as what to look foward to.
1) They will be working on replacing the gas line between Jan. 2012 to June 2012. If you have any questions you can call Cindy at 281-895-5305.
2) Cross Creek Ranch has closed 570 homes to date
3) Fry Rd. should be opened by the end of the year, giving us a new entrance to Cross Creek Ranch.
4) AshtonWooods will joining Trendmaker in the 70′ section off Flewellen Way.
5) Taylor Morrison is leaving the 50′ section and is being replaced with Plantation Homes
6) Fulshear Police is hiring another full time officer and another part time officer.
7) Flewellen Way will become a right turn only at FM1093 when the signs come in. It is recommended that you start going to Cross Creek Ranch Blvd. to access FM1093 going East. There have been 11 accidents and one almost fatal.
The water rates have been revaluated and those who use 50K-100K will be charged at a higher rate.
9) Timewise/McDonalds has started clearing the land at the corner of FM 1093 and FM 1463
10) An upscale carwash will be built on FM 1093 in front of the bus barn.
11) Las Flores is closing and will be replaced by Victor’s Mexican Restaurant.
12) The Widening of FM 1093 from the West Park Toll Rd. to FM1463 should start in 12 to 14 months

It is the merriest time of the year and there is nothing like Fulshear’s Cowboy Christmas and Parade of Lights. If you miss the old country Christmas you need to clear your calendar for December the 10th. This is truely an old time Christmas. There will be so much to see and do, and of course Santa and Mrs. Clause will be there. Mrs. Clause will be reading Twas the Night Before Christmas to the kids and giving out candy canes. Santa is comming to Cross Creek Ranch on Friday 12/9 at 7:00pm to 8:30pm in the Cross Creek Ranch Welcome Center. Bring the kids and have a great time taking pictures with Santa.
