Elliot Jacobson from the Katy Area is the drummer for Ingrid Michaelson

I was reading the Houston Chronicle this morning and came across this article on Elliot Jacobson who is now the drummer for Ingrid Michaelson. He became a drummer by accident. He was attending John Paul II Catholic School in Houston when he decided to join the high school’s concert band. He was going to learn how to play a brass or woodwind instrument, but forgot to bring his dental records at sign up which was required to ensure a proper fit with the instruments. A friend of his told him he was going be a drummer and Elliot deceided to do the same. Katy Mills Mall host The Super Duper Mini Chefs Event

I was reading the Katy section of the Houston Chronicle (Ultimate Katy) and came across this article. The Super Duper Mini Chefs event is sponcered by Nickelodean and hosted at the Katy Mills Mall. This event will allow kids to particapate in a variety of food-related activities, crafts and giveaways. I have post a link to Ultimate Katy below so you can find out more. After receiveing feedback about our Memorial Day Weekend closure, we have decided to open for limited hours on Saturday, May 26th.

The Fitness Center will be open from 8am -11am on Saturday, May 26th.

Timewise/McDonalds Ground Breaking in Fulshear

Just drove by where they are building a new Timewise/McDonalds on the coner of FM1093 and FM 1463, and they are really comming along. I was at a developement meeting for Fulshear a short time back when they had stopped construction and was told that it was because of design issues. Apparentely they have come to an agreement and construction is back on track. I know this is going to make Darrel and a lot of others in Cross Creek Ranch happy. I will keep you posted as it progresses. I just got information from C.J. Snipes that there will be a ground breaking next Tuseday May 15th at 5:30PM, and should be open in around 8 weeks.

Cross Creek Ranch Pool Opening

For all the residents of Cross Creek Ranch the pool will start to be open for the weekends. May the 12th and 13th the pool will be open from 10:00am to 8:00pm. Wooo Hoooooo! There are so many upcomings in May and June, so stay tuned for all the announcements.

Fewellen Oaks at Fry Road is Now Open

We now have a new entrance to Cross Creek Ranch, Flewellen Oaks at FM1463 is now open. Cross Creek Ranch is growing with leaps and bounds. When I moved here there were only around 50 homes in Cross Creek Ranch, wow now look at us. Darrel is still patiently waiting for McDonalds to open. LOL (maybe not so patiently) The area is growing so fast, Swampy’s on 1093, in the same center that All Star Family Grill is located, will be open soon, Darrel can’t wait. We hear it will be in a couple of weeks. Darrel has met Bob who is managing Swampy’s while dropping off his laundry and Bob told him to hang on and gave him a tour of the inside. According to Darrel it is going to be great. I will keep you posted.

We moved to Katy over 25 years ago and now live in Cross Creek Ranch. It is amazing how much the area has grown.
